大覺寺玉佛坐像

位於江蘇省宜興市大覺寺大雄寶殿。大覺寺為南宋（1127～1279）禪宗臨濟宗道場，其第四十七代弟子智開上人曾擔任該寺住持，後寺院遭受破壞，舊址難以復原。佛光山寺開山宗長星雲大師為其第四十八弟子，後重返宜興復興祖庭，重修大覺寺，選址西渚鎮橫山水庫（雲湖）東側，雞龍山岕重建。
大雄寶殿主尊釋迦牟尼佛，佛高達15公尺，重480公噸；玉石來自緬甸，於中國雕刻而成，莊嚴雄偉，為世界最大的緬甸玉刻釋迦牟尼佛坐像。玉佛斂目，高肉髻，大耳垂肩，著敞領袈裟，內著僧祇支，衣紋疏朗簡潔。胸前有卍字，雙手結禪定印，結跏趺坐。主尊兩旁有西方極樂世界及東方藥師淨土世界圖。大殿四周布滿數萬個佛龕，如同萬佛殿，像讓人進入殿堂即感受宛如進入到佛國世界。
