繪四童子禮佛的場景。圖中太湖石前供奉一尊佛像及佛塔。佛像前一童子手捧瓶菊供養；一童子俯身禮拜，開襠褲露出胖臀，形象逗趣；一童子雙手合十，躬身敬跪，神情虔誠；另有一童子跪於塔前，作擦拭狀，並回首望同伴，交相呼應。圖中太湖石以較粗的筆勾畫，佛像及童子用細勁的線條畫出。設色淡雅，人物形象生動，活現童子遊戲的趣味。
圖右側為陳洪綬自題：「老蓮洪綬畫於護蘭草堂」，下鈐「陳洪綬印」白文，「章侯」朱文各一枚，無收藏印。此幅雖無紀年，但推測為陳洪綬晚年之作。
