陶迦陵頻伽紋瓦當

佛教經典常以迦陵頻伽鳥優雅微妙的音聲譬喻佛菩薩之妙音，或謂極樂淨土之鳥，於佛教藝術作品中常現半人半鳥形。
瓦當作圓形，陶土壓模成型。迦陵頻伽戴高冠，繒帶垂落於肩部，長臉大耳，五官概括。兩肩生翼於身後展開，羽紋立體。下著裙，雙手於胸前合十，雙足作爪形，惜部分已殘。背景襯以線紋，紋路曲折，與河南省安陽市修定寺塔四壁磚雕的圖案相似。
瓦當為中國古代建築物頂檐的筒瓦頭部，用於保護屋檐的檐頭，形狀多呈圓形或半圓形，此件瓦當為唐代（618～907）少見的建築裝飾品之一。
