木漆密陀彩繪忍冬鳳紋香盒

據此香盒蓋面中央方形貼紙墨書「納丁香青木香／會前東大寺」，得知為日本奈良東大寺大佛落成開光典禮前供養香料之供具。
盒作長方體，木質，長45公分，寬30公分，高21.4公分。上設蓋，底部附有長方形鏤空框座。通體黑漆為地，用橙、白、黃色等顏料描繪圖案，紋樣色彩部分均施密陀繪，色彩鮮豔豐富。蓋面中央繪鳳凰和吉祥鳥各二隻，展翅飛翔，回旋成圓形圖樣，間飾隨風搖曳的卷草，畫面動感洋溢。盒體四面吉祥鳥首、忍冬花草及飄動的雲彩，起伏波浪般地環繞四周，形象生動。整體紋飾勻稱優美，表現匠師的工藝造詣。
