Eastern Thousand Buddha Cave 7: Western Pure Land
東千佛洞第7窟西方淨土變相
甘肅瓜州
位於南壁。為典型的宮殿式建構，畫面似為三進院落布局，在南北中軸線上坐落重檐大殿，東西兩側設配殿、亭閣等，亭殿樓閣之間均有迴廊相連，飛檐斗栱、九曲迴廊，組成一個個封閉的院落，中間為天井。後院正殿前繪一佛二菩薩，四周及配殿和亭閣中繪眾多天人，濟濟一堂，雖僅圓形頭光隱約可辨，但可見人頭攢動，應是佛說法。前院迴廊裡也布滿了準備聽法的弟子，門口似有迎者在等候陸續到來的法眾，天空中還有天人駕祥雲而至。
畫中前院建築及後院正殿上空雲蒸霞蔚，而其他各殿有火焰紋，主佛頭光上空似也升起一團火焰。整個畫面布局繁而不亂，匠心獨具，可惜的是壁畫磨損過重。在東千佛洞留有較多大幅的經變畫，本窟這幅淨土經變可謂其中的代表。特別是圖中建築的描繪可為研究古代建築史提供珍貴資料。
