Eastern Thousand Buddha Cave 2: Medicine Buddha Propagating the Dharma
東千佛洞第2窟藥師佛行化圖
甘肅瓜州
位於後甬道西壁北側。藥師佛是興起自隋（581～618）、初唐（618～712）的佛教藝術題材。圖中身材高大的主尊為藥師佛，髮青色，低平肉髻中飾頂珠，頭後繪有綠色的圓形頭光。面相長圓，兩頰豐腴，長眉彎曲，雙目下視。內著田相紋中衣，外披寬大袈裟。左手托藥鉢至胸前，藥鉢通體白色，外形以藍線勾畫，似有琉璃透明之感，透過鉢壁，托鉢的佛手隱約可見。右肩扛長錫杖，右手輕握在下端。兩足一前一後分踏兩朵蓮花，雖為靜止的畫面，卻有形如在虛空行進的動感。
佛身旁為雙手合十的隨從二弟子，左側年長者緊閉口唇，目光堅定；右側年輕弟子若有所思；二人亦都有圓形頭光，披寬大的袈裟。三人周圍雲氣繚繞。這幅畫表現的是藥師佛攜弟子行遊度化的行道場景。
