紫金庵十六羅漢像

位於江蘇省蘇州市吳中區紫金庵大殿。羅漢計二十四尊,其中大殿左右兩壁十六尊相傳是南宋(1127~1279)民間雕塑名家雷湘夫婦的作品,後壁八尊由邱彌陀於明(1368~1644)末增塑。塑像經多次重妝。十六羅漢名號與玄奘譯《大阿羅漢難提蜜多羅所說法住記》所載相同。羅漢像各高約120公分,比例適度,有青年僧人形象,有老僧形象,容貌各異,姿態生動,面部表情細膩,各具性格,分別可用「慈、虔、瞋、靜、醉、誠、喜、愁、傲、思、溫、威、忖、服、笑、藐」一字形容。僧衣彩繪精緻細膩,採用瀝粉畫法,紋樣輪廓凸起,賦色濃豔,富於質感。清代(1644~1911)《淨因堂碑記》譽為「精神超乎,呼之欲活」。
 賓度羅跋囉惰闍尊者側身倚坐,面容慈祥,原有長眉直垂於地。迦諾迦跋釐墮闍尊者目光炯炯,虯髯紺青色,頭微側,雙手疊於胸前撫憑几,左肩上攀附一隻靈獸。戍博迦尊者側目凝視,神情泰然自若,著袈裟,袒胸,蹺腿抱膝而坐,造型古拙。羅怙羅尊者白眉,笑口大開,俯視右膝下一小虎,虎抬起一足,人獸之間情態呼應生動。那伽犀那尊者俗稱降龍羅漢,右手上舉,右腿抬起,身軀側轉目視柱頭上的蛟龍。伐那婆斯尊者亦目視上方,與降龍羅漢動態相呼應。
