該像雙手結轉法輪印，斂目凝神，如入禪定，結跏趺坐於仰蓮座上。螺髮，肉髻頂上飾一寶珠，雙耳垂掛大耳璫。方額，兩端幾成直角，眉毛如弓，與鼻梁相連，眉間有白毫相，表情靜謐祥和。上半身袒裸，比例較纖長，戴項圈、手鐲；下著裙，腹部束帶，僅二、三條衣褶斜刻於兩腿。蓮瓣形頭光和身光鏤空，邊緣飾滿紋樣，呈現和諧的藝術美感。
佛教約於六、七世紀以後正式傳入尼泊爾，其後直接來自印度的密教流傳至今，不僅佛、菩薩的稱呼、經典的讀誦，甚至佛教藝術皆深受印度的影響，此作品即是其中一例。
