Anyue Vairocana Cave 8: Heavenly King

安岳毗盧洞第8窟天王像

四川安岳

位於窟口右側。天王高鼻深目,顴骨凸出,面部線條粗獷,闊口厚唇,嘴角向下,下巴寬厚。頭戴鳳翅盔,身著鎧甲,肩繫巾,結於胸前,外披披風,右手拄一斧,左手輕按於右手臂上,身體微側。下身繫裙,腰間束寬腰帶,腹部略鼓。
 此像雕刻精細,熟練的技巧表現出披風等織物與鐵製盔甲的不同質感,造像威武卻不失真,富有生活氣息,宛如北宋年間(960~1127)戍守邊關的將軍形象。
