大足寶頂山石窟大佛灣第20龕地獄變相之養雞女
重慶大足
位於龕下方下層中部，為刀船地獄中的一景。造像主角為一養雞女，髮挽卷雲髻，著大襟袍裙，俯身掀起雞籠，雞群爭相奔出，籠邊兩隻雞還在爭啄一條蚯蚓。養雞女面含微笑，興致盎然，觀看啄食之雞。造像取材於農村常見之生活情景，人物衣著亦為年輕村婦，真實地刻劃出農家淳樸的生活景象，與周圍地獄造像，受刑人哀慘恐怖的畫面，形成迥然不同的氣氛。
造像背景為大片山石略加斫鑿，不加修飾，造像敷較厚泥層、皮紙層。因風化之故，有所剝離，然仍可見當時整體的雕刻、敷彩藝術特色。
養雞女下方刻一艘大船，船上刀劍密樹，上有二受刑者。船壁題經文：「自作自受，非天與人」、「大藏經言：佛告迦葉，一切眾生養雞者入於地獄……」，寓意佛教因果業報的觀念。
