Loriyan Tangai: Brahma and Sakra’s Request

巴基斯坦西北邊境省羅里延唐蓋佛寺遺址出土
巴基斯坦開伯爾巴圖克瓦省羅里延唐蓋（Loriyan Tangai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa）佛寺遺址出土，表現犍陀羅流行的浮雕佛傳故事。中間於菩提樹下成道不久的釋迦牟尼佛帶頭光、肉髻，半袒上身，左肩掛帔巾，手結禪定印，結跏趺坐的腳掌上刻有千輻輪。金剛座前面垂下刻有花草等植物紋樣的敷物。佛陀兩側二人跪拜，右側綰髮者為梵天，左側戴敷巾冠飾者為帝釋天，皆躬身合掌。兩側另有站立的諸天聖眾和裸身的藥叉，皆來勸請佛陀住世說法。畫面空白處皆刻滿花紋。
佛陀上身幾近赤袒，下身也僅纏繫較為輕薄的腰布，與印度的秣菟羅（Mathura）初期偏袒右肩的薄衣佛像相近，在犍陀羅造像中極為少見，推測應受到秣菟羅佛像風格的影響。
