Gongxian Cave 4: Ceiling (northwest corner)

鞏縣石窟第4窟平棊
河南鞏義
位於窟頂。鞏縣石窟第1、3、4窟窟頂均鑿平棊，其中尤以第1窟的平棊設計、布局最為精細、豐富。第3、4窟的平棊實際上是第1窟的簡化，但是卻以第4窟的平棊保存最為完好。
該窟中心柱四周繞兩周方形棋格，棋格內浮雕飛天、蓮花化生，兩兩互不重複；外周表現了多種不同類型的蓮花，相鄰三個互不重複。棋格邊框飾蓮花。
