位於瞿曇寺（gro tshang rdo rje 'chang）隆國殿迴廊。十七世紀作品。瞿曇寺位於青海省海東地區樂都縣，為中國西北地區保存完好的明代（1368～1644）漢式建築風格的藏傳佛教寺院。隆國殿為該寺最大的殿堂建築，其壁畫氣魄宏偉，風格獨特，內容以佛教故事和佛菩薩畫像為主。
藥師佛，又稱藥師如來、藥師琉璃光如來、大醫王佛等。其世界名淨琉璃，國土清淨，亦無一切惡道苦聲。彼佛於過去世行菩薩道時，曾發十二大願，願眾生遠離惡道、無諸苦惱、諸根具足，乃至究竟無上菩提。
畫中藥師佛藍色身相，著袒右袈裟，右肩敷搭偏衫，腹前繫帶。左手持鉢，右手施與願印，結跏趺坐於覆蓮座上。圓形頭光和身光相連，周圍蓮花枝葉繁茂。此像不同於迴廊內其他漢式佛傳壁畫，屬典型的藏式風格。
