Todaiji Temple Lotus Hall: Narayana

位於法華堂須彌壇上主尊不空●（Q）索觀音像左右前方。其細部之潤飾及技法與堂內四天王像相同，推斷為同一工房所製，是奈良（710～794）盛期夾紵脫胎天部像之珍貴遺品。一九五二年指定為日本國寶。
阿形像右手高舉，原握金剛杵，今已佚；吽形像頭結髮髻，右手握金剛杵。二力士像顏面的皺紋、眉、眼瞼等部位，以凹凸面塑形，產生陰影效果，刻劃出有如顫動的筋肉，眼睛鑲嵌黑曜石，增添威嚴。阿形像之焰髮、鬍鬚以鐵線為芯，再塗乾漆塑形。像內架設木板角材，外表於朱、青綠、白綠、白、胡粉、岱赭等底色上，或於金箔上，施以卷草、寶相花等紋樣，部分摻合金銀泥，表現奈良時代豐富色彩與華麗風格。
