善化寺日天像

位於大雄寶殿東壁前，為殿內二十四諸天之一。在印度，將「創造力」神格化，稱為日天。後為太陽神之別稱。傳入佛教後，成為十二天之一。《供養十二大威德天報恩品》載「若求息災，帝釋為首；若求增益，梵天為主；……若欲除熱寒病，隨用日月天。」
此像與西壁前的月天相對而立，造型相類，僅在衣飾上略有變化。此像面形長圓，彎眉秀目，肅立捧笏。服飾、造型已完全漢化，頭戴梁冠，身著綠袍，襦袖長垂，下繫長裙，衣袍紋飾華麗精美，雲頭履微露於裙襬外。塑像線條工整、簡潔，繪塑結合，呈現出金代（1115～1234）彩塑藝術風格的新面貌。
