Pengshan Eastern Han Tomb: Buddha Under the Money Tree

陶佛像搖錢樹座
四川省眉山市彭山縣東漢墓出土
一九四二年四川省眉山市彭山縣東漢（25～220）墓出土。樹座上的佛陀形象，為中國早期珍貴的佛造像。圓形插座柱頭上，以貼壓捏塑一佛二菩薩。佛肉髻高聳，面相微圓，著通肩袈裟，衣紋以陰線刻劃。菩薩身著胡人裝束。底座立面為龍虎戲璧。該像捏塑方法及相貌特徵，與四川地區出土的漢代（206 BCE～220）陶俑十分相似，技法簡練。
搖錢樹是漢墓中經常出土的神樹，通常以象徵長生不老的西王母神像為裝飾，而此座為佛教造像，顯示東漢時期佛教開始融入本土文化。
