大足寶頂山石窟大佛灣第17龕報恩經變相之釋迦因地割肉供父母
重慶大足
位於龕內佛左側壁中層。典出《大方便佛報恩經》卷一〈孝養品〉。描述過去阿僧祇劫，有一波羅奈國，是一大國，王名羅闍王，一日為奸臣羅●（目+侯）O弒篡，並殺其二子。其第三子封國邊陲，知道將被逼殺，遂攜夫人及太子須闍提倉卒逃往鄰國，不幸誤入歧途，絕糧難行。追兵將至，王第三子欲殺妻，與須闍提分食其肉，被須闍提所阻。為使父母能走出荒野到鄰國求救兵，須闍提割身肉供父母食用。
圖中刻須闍提的父親右手拄劍，左手抱須闍提太子，作已割下太子肉狀。王妃身體前傾，雙手接過兒肉。小太子臂上剜痕累累。圖上有長篇榜題，摘錄佛經所述釋迦牟尼佛因地為須闍提太子時割肉供父母的孝行事蹟。
