Sikri: Paying Respect to Sakyamuni’s Hair and Turban

巴基斯坦俾路支省西克里出土

巴基斯坦俾路支省西克里(Sikri, Balochistan)出土。據《釋迦如來應化錄》卷一〈莊嚴經〉云:「菩薩……取金刀即自剃髮而發願言,願斷一切煩惱及以習障,時天帝釋即以天衣於空取髮還天供養。」此圖表現悉達多太子出家後,自行剪斷頭巾和長髮,拋擲空中,巾冠與頭髮被忉利天的眾神們獲得,迎至天宮供養。
 圖中清楚地刻劃了古印度表徵貴族身分的敷巾冠飾的具體形象。敷巾冠中央為一橢圓形飾物,兩旁皺褶呈扇形,外用珠寶鍊圈等加以固定,是一件相當別致的手工巾冠。太子的巾冠和頭髮置於寶座華麗的坐墊上,上覆華蓋。兩位手上執拂的天神,守護於寶座兩側,圖右側一位合十禮拜者可能是帝釋天。
