筇竹寺五百羅漢像

中國

位於雲南省昆明市郊筇竹寺。由四川雕塑家黎廣修及其五位弟子於清光緒九至十六年(1883~1890)所塑。分布於寺中的大雄寶殿、梵音閣和天台萊閣。其中大雄寶殿須彌壇兩側羅漢各三十四尊,大致分為兩層。羅漢在萬頃波濤間或坐或立,或飛騰,或跳躍,有伸展雙臂舞動雙手,有敞胸露肚騎仙禽靈獸,有處驚濤駭浪卻如履平地,有伸出長臂,各具神態。雕塑家將羅漢自在無礙的特性,發揮得淋漓盡致。
 梵音閣和天台萊閣又稱羅漢堂,堂內羅漢各二百一十六尊,高約135~150公分左右,分三層環列於壁上,一、三層為坐姿,第二層為立姿。其中波闍提婆尊者足履草鞋,身體右傾,左臂半抬,手掌微屈,內有一紅色寶珠,右手指著左臂上的綠蟾,似在與之對話。念佛羅漢左手舉於胸前持數珠,張口似在念佛,右手背於身後,足蹬布襪草鞋,穿交領衫,下襬撩起紮於腰部。另一羅漢頭戴風帽,身披袈裟,手執竹杖,正張著寬厚的嘴,扳著手指,湊近同伴,似在低聲細語;其旁羅漢雙手捧小佛龕,額高頤削,神情專注,躬腰,側耳傾聽。
 五百羅漢像各具名號,以現實生活人物為藍本塑造,造型寫實,個性鮮明,比例適當,手法洗練。衣服彩繪鮮豔,紋樣豐富,領口袖口鑲邊,尤顯耀眼。此組羅漢雖各具性格,又相互呼應,組合統一和諧,富表現力。
