Dahai Temple: Maitreya Bodhisattva Niche (back)
彌勒菩薩龕像
河南省滎陽市大海寺出土
河南省鄭州市滎陽市大海寺出土。造像正面為一尖拱形龕，龕內彌勒菩薩交腳坐於長方形座上，足踏蓮台。頭戴寶冠，帔帛自雙肩垂下交叉，再繞臂飄落，懸裳覆於座前。右手上舉施無畏印，左手作與願印。背光由裡而外依序刻蓮花紋飾、七身體態輕盈的供養天人及火焰紋。龕內右壁上方刻維摩詰，左壁上方刻文殊菩薩，旁有聽法眾，構成維摩詰經變相。佛左右兩側立二弟子及二菩薩。龕外為二力士，怒目圓瞪，神態威猛。龕楣中央刻佛坐像，左右各雕比丘及供養人各四人，合十聽法。龕上部似為聞法場面，頂部以帷幔裝飾。
龕像背面刻五個方形小龕，龕內造像由圖左至右依序為釋迦牟尼佛、思惟菩薩、釋迦多寶二佛並坐、九龍浴太子，下部為造像題記和供養人像，共五排。
