Phajoding Monastery: Maitreya Bodhisattva

彌勒菩薩像
不丹
此像頭戴五葉寶冠，髮髹青色，通身鑲綴寶石，衣著及冠上的配件精密繁複。手作轉法輪印，並持兩株蓮莖，蜿蜒繞臂，向兩側延伸出兩朵精緻的蓮花，右側蓮上有一小塔，左側為淨瓶。腰間掛串珠式珠鍊垂落兩股之上，下裳衣褶重疊繁複，富裝飾性。
菩薩倚坐於束腰須彌台座上，雙腳自然下垂，腳踝上有花瓣形飾物，原應足踏蓮花台上，惜已遺失。台座精雕細刻各種圖案，益顯整體的華麗考究。
由該像銅的使用、精細的鎏金以及頭冠的形式，說明這尊現藏於不丹廷布（Thimphu）法丘丁寺（Phajoding Gompa）的彌勒菩薩，也許來自尼泊爾，或者出自旅居不丹的尼泊爾藝術家之手。
