Brass
This stupa was created in Sri Lanka, probably during the 18th century.
Made of brass and consisting of a base, body, and spire, the base and the body were cast separately. The base has three tiers decorated with inverted lotus petals, and the body is in the form of an inverted bowl decorated with a lotus pattern on the lower section and scroll work on the upper section. Relics and offerings were enshrined within the body of the stupa, but are now missing. The Sumeru-shaped square harmika has a lotus pattern engraved in the concave section, while the spire consists of a round Sumeru base followed by stacked rings and a jewel.
