This scene is part of the murals in the ordination hall of Wat Rajasittharam. The Buddha is shown performing a miracle, rising into the air before his family in Kapilavastu in order to convince them of his powers and teach them the Dharma. The Buddha wears a red monastic robe and stands on a lotus pedestal. Surrounded by a black mandorla accented with stylized golden flame patterns, he gazes down compassionately at his relatives. Royalty from the Sakya clan, including adults wearing pointed crowns and young boys with topknots, all look up in amazement and join their palms in reverence. A tree blossoms beside a rock on the right, and a palace wall is painted in the lower register.
