This Thai temple was founded by monk Ajarn Surachett in 1982. The current buildings were designed by architect Nopporn Poochareon. Construction started in 1995 and was completed in 2002.
The temple occupies 2 ha and consists of the main hall, classrooms, pavilions, and the bell tower. The roof of the main hall is covered in red tiles and the walls are painted white. The roof is decorated with golden stylized nagas on the sloping ridges. The front facade has a stepped profile where the middle section is lower than the ends. On the stepped terraces there are eight pavilions with gable roofs supported by columns. The main hall is surrounded by a covered walkway and there is a portico in the middle of each of the four sides. Each portico is flanked by a pair of crouching stone lions.
In the main hall there is a gilt bronze statue of a 7 m high seated Sakyamuni Buddha, which weighs 5 t.
