The Bodhisattva has a high topknot and an ornate crown decorated with flowers. Ribbons hang from the back of the crown and fall to the shoulders. The figure has large earrings, an ornate neck ornament, a long bead necklace that falls to the waist, and bracelets. An outer robe covers both shoulders and there is a dhoti on the lower body. Avalokitesvara sits in full lotus position with the right hand placed on the right knee and the left hand held palm upwards with the thumb touching the fingers resting in the lap.
