Both the arms and feet of this striking statue are missing. It depicts a standing Buddha wearing a monastic robe that leaves the right shoulder bare. The robe is tightly fitted to the body, revealing the slim figure underneath. Long raised folds in the robe run diagonally from the left shoulder downward becoming less pronounced at the bottom. The rounded face looks down benevolently through half-closed eyes and the mouth gives the impression of smiling without the lips being raised. Traces of gilding remain on the statue. It shows innovative adaptation of the Indian Gupta style despite being a Northern Qi dynasty (550–577) statue.
