Porcelain
This porcelain vessel is 32 cm high with a diameter at the base of 8.5 cm, and at the mouth of 10 cm. The body is rectangular with rounded edges, while the neck is rectangular with curved sides. The vessel has a low base and a body that angles out slightly to the shoulder. The blue border is decorated with floral patterns, and on the front, there is a depiction of Amitayus Buddha sitting in royal ease position and wearing a purple robe. He is leaning forward in contemplation and holds his hands together in his sleeves while resting them on his left knee. There is a mountain landscape in the background.
On the rear of the vessel, there are a Buddhist monk and a Daoist practitioner sitting in a bamboo forest. On both sides of the vessel are chrysanthemums shining brilliantly with flowers and leaves. The neck is also decorated with floral patterns with a lively dragon on either side. The images on the front and back are delicate with a range of overglaze colors, including purple, yellow, green, and red.
