Gilt bronze
The image of Marici is enshrined within this Tibetan stupa. With three faces and eight arms, the bronze Marici appears wrathful. All three heads wear crowns embedded with rubies and emeralds. The right head is that of a boar, while the other two have round, human faces. Marici wears stoles and a short dress, and her chest is adorned with rubies and emeralds. The main two arms wield a gold sword; her right hands hold a vajra, gold hook, gold needle, and thread while her left hands hold a flower, a bow, and form a mudra. She stands on a gilded lotus pedestal with a sturdy and strong body.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Marici is depicted riding a boar or a golden chariot pulled by boars. The base of the stupa features seven gold boars, signifying the seven boars pulling her chariot. Below and facing forward, there is a figure holding the sun and moon, symbolizing Marici bestowing her light upon sentient beings.
