Yin Zhi

CHINA, Sichuan, Chengdu; Northern Song dynasty

Yin Zhi was an artist who was particularly skilled in creating paintings of Bhaisajyaraja Bodhisattva. Prominent between 1040 and 1048, his application of color to the Sixteen Arhats drafted by Zhao Yuanyan was highly regarded. His artworks include a painting of Bhaisajyaraja Bodhisattva listed in the Overview of Painting.
