Li Guonu

CHINA; Tang dynasty

Li Guonu was an painter who specialized in portraiture and depicting Buddhist imagery. He worked in a clean and elegant style and his accomplishments are documented in Famous Paintings in History. Records of Daci’en Temple records that Li painted the monastic portraits found on the corridors of Daci’en Temple in Shaanxi.
