These symbols representing the Twelve Zodiac Signs are part of the illustration of the Tejaprabha Buddha Dharani Sutra located on the north and south walls of the corridor. Each sign is illustrated within a circle. For example, there are a ram symbolizing Aries two fish for Pisces, scales for Libra, a scorpion for Scorpio, a man and a horse symbolizing Sagittarius, a water vase for Aquarius, a lion for Leo, and two children representing Gemini. These images were for purposes of veneration and not for astrological reading.
