This image is in the center of the mural on the south wall. Amitabha Buddha is seated in full lotus position on a lotus throne that rises from the pond of seven treasures. He has a high usnisa, and his circular nimbus and aureole are both decorated with floral patterns. The Buddha wears a yellow robe with the right arm exposed, and the hem of the robe covers the right shoulder. The hands form the Dharmacakra (Dharma wheel) mudra.
The Buddha is flanked by Avalokitesvara and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattvas, both standing on lotus pedestals. The Bodhisattvas have high topknots and their round faces are framed by circular double-layered nimbuses. They wear stoles draped over their shoulders, necklaces, armlets, and long ornaments that cross at their midriffs. Avalokitesvara wears a headdress with a Buddha image in the center, and holds a vase in the left hand. Mahasthamaprapta wears a floral headdress topped with a vase, and holds a stole in the left hand.
