These sculptures are carved on two neighboring rock faces, one of which features a Buddha, while the other is carved with a Bodhisattva in contemplation and five standing Bodhisattvas. They are listed as Provincial Tangible Cultural Property No. 131.
The Buddha, which has only the upper portion remaining, is depicted on the left with a tall topknot, long, fine facial features, and wearing a monastic robe. A kneeling donor makes an offering by the Buddha’s side.
On the right side, a headless Bodhisattva in contemplation sits in relaxation posture on a rock with the right ankle crossed over the left leg. The Bodhisattva has the left arm bent and balanced on the knee, while holding up the head. The slender figures to the side include a wide-skirted Bodhisattva on the right, and four other Bodhisattvas to the left.
