In the center of the ceiling are three running rabbits encircled by a lotus. The lotus is bordered by an outer ring with a honeysuckle pattern, and the circular center is framed by a diamond-in-square motif embellished with honeysuckle patterns and lions. In each corner of the inner square are apsaras, while the corners of the outer square contain kinnaras. The outermost section of the ceiling consists of valances which extend to the slopes of the ceiling. The main colors used are red, green, and blue. The dark brown visible now is a result of color change over time. The artists employed a shading technique to produce rich three-dimensional content.
