Reliquary Casket

CHINA; Tang dynasty

This gilt bronze reliquary casket consists of a lid, a body, and a base. The lid of the casket is curved and has a concave end. Silver-inlaid decorations depicting lotus and honeysuckle patterns decorate the lid, both sides of the body, and the front. The rectangular base measures 18 cm long and is also decorated with a honeysuckle pattern. This artwork exhibits a high form of craftsmanship with exquisite details and a vibrant appearance.
