Andesite
This piece is Relief No. 60 located on the inner wall of the fourth square terrace. All the scenes on the fourth square terrace are adapted from the “Chapter on the Practices and Vows of Samantabhadra” from the Avatamsaka Sutra.
There are three reliefs of Samantabhadra separated by stupas in the Javanese style. They all wear tall pointed crowns and are adorned with jewelry. The figure on the far left seems to be floating while holding a lotus. The one in the center stands in the tribhanga posture on a lotus pedestal, which floats in space. Attendants accompany the figure on the right. The background is filled with trees, leaves, and flowers.
