These images of the Ten Great Disciples are located around Sakyamuni Buddha in the main chamber. Each disciple has a different expression and posture. Some are plump, and some appear gaunt, some are elderly, while others are healthy-looking youths. Each disciple has deep eyes, a high-bridged nose, and is backed by a nimbus. The disciples wear monastic robes with smoothly incised folds.
