This pagoda is located at Wanggungri near the city of Iksan. The pagoda was built in the early Goryeo dynasty (918–1392). It was reconstructed in 1965 when the pagoda was tilted and the base was partly buried. It was listed as National Treasure No. 289 in 1997.
The 8.5 m high pagoda stands on a base consisting of a single layer. Both the base and each tier of the pagoda body have corner and intermediate pilasters. The first tier of the pagoda body is significantly higher than the subsequent tiers. The eaves are supported by three layers of corbeling. The spire consists of a harmika and an upright lotus.
When the pagoda was dismantled and reconstructed in 1965, a number of artifacts were discovered, including a gold reliquary box, a glass reliquary bottle, a gilt bronze sutra box, and 19 golden plates inscribed with the Diamond Sutra. These items are listed as National Treasure No. 123.
