Situated on the third tier of the west wall, this arch-shaped niche contains carvings of Sakyamuni and Prabhutaratna Buddhas seated in the full lotus position and forming the abhaya (fearlessness) mudra with one hand. Both Buddhas have high usnisas, rounded faces, and wear loose robes tied at the waist. The robes have been carved skillfully, with flowing lines and realistic detailing.
A small seated Buddha figure with both hands forming the dhyana (meditation) mudra is carved in the center of the niche lintel, with four heavenly beings on each side kneeled with joined palms. Additional figures with joined palms are found in the top corners outside the niche lintel. On both sides of the niche are decorative carvings of bundled curtains.
