This pagoda is also known as the Dragon Lake Temple Pagoda or the Thousand Buddha Relic Pagoda. It was built in 1034 during the Northern Song dynasty. It was listed as a National Cultural Heritage Site in 2006.
The seven-story, hexagonal, brick pagoda is 28 m high. A door is located on the south side of the first story leading to the central chamber. The eaves consist of corbeling. The walls on the inside and outside of the pagoda are decorated with Buddha niches. It is estimated that there are more than 1,000 such niches. There are four tablets with inscriptions dated between 1034 to 1038 in various locations on the pagoda body. The size of each story decreases with height, so that from afar it seems to have a tapered curved shape.
