
The daughter of renowned artist, Feng Zikai, Feng Yiyin is a well-known painter and translator from Tongxiang, Jiaxing. She has worked as a translator since 1961, serving in several different bureaus and departments around Shanghai. Between 1994 and 1996, Feng held solo calligraphy and painting exhibitions in various locations around the world including Singapore, Manila, and Penang in order to promote and support Buddhist charitable causes.
Feng was appointed as the Honorary Chair of the Feng Zikai Research Association in 1996 and subsequently began to deeply research her father’s brilliant past as an artist. She has published a number of written works on the subject, which include God of Wind with Grace and Ease - My Father Feng Zikai, The Works of Feng Zikai, The Complete Cartoons of Feng Zikai, and My Father’s Paintings, several of which were co-written or edited alongside her siblings.
Many of Feng’s works are collected at Fo Guang Shan Monastery in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Her paintings include many of the images along the corridors of the Buddha Memorial Center. Calligraphic works by Feng include Seven-Character Couplet in running script, kept at Tiantong Temple in Zhejiang.
