Mirror with Bodhi Tree

KOREA; Goryeo dynasty

The stud at the center of this simple bronze mirror is surrounded by a luxuriant Bodhi tree with prominent roots, whose leaves are falling to the ground. The central image is enclosed by two concentric rings: the inner ring has a wavy line with depictions of leaves, while the outer ring is unadorned.
