Yong Zhongben

CHINA, Sichuan, Mianyang; Former Shu Kingdom

Yong Zhongben was a sculptor from Dongchuan (present day Santai, Mianyang). He once sculpted the statues of Heavenly King and Attendants, Tejaprabha Buddha, Nine Luminaries, and Twenty-Eight Mansions in the Heavenly King Hall of Shengxing Temple in Sichuan. Additionally, he created several works in various Daoist temples. His sculptures found in Shengxing Temple were painted by Yang Yuanzhen, a renowned painter and sculpture decorator, as documented in Records of Famous Paintings in Yizhou.
