CHINA, Zhejiang, Taizhou; Yuan dynasty

Dugu Chunpeng, who had an original family name of Yang, was a monk and calligrapher from Linhai, Taizhou. He was the Dharma heir of Chan Master Huyan Jingfu of Jingshan, and later resided in various temples in Zhejiang including Lingyin Temple and Tianning Temple.
