This painting, now removed, was located on the inner wall of the left corridor, and is part of the mural of King Ajatasatru’s Bath. The first figure on the left is Ajatasatru, who wears a jeweled crown with a parasol above. Clad in a silk stole, with ornaments on his wrists and upper arms, he forms the vitarka (teaching) mudra. The queen stands in the middle wearing a large flower ornament on her head, a long silk stole and is adorned with numerous ornaments. The figure on the right is the minister Varsakara. He has blue hair and wears a silk stole that draped over the left shoulder. The figures are outlined with delicate lines and are representative of the unique painting style found in the Kizil Caves.
