This image is a portion of the illustration of the Compassionate Avalokitesvara, originally located on the lower part of the back wall within the main chamber. Mahadevi is depicted with a full face and flower-shaped decorations on the forehead and cheeks. She wears an elaborate gown and holds a tray bearing three jewels adorned with flame patterns. Behind Mahadevi is a smaller female figure with hair tied into four buns. She stands on a lotus pedestal with palms joined. The artwork incorporates the attire and decorations common in the Central Plains of China during this period, which reflects the fact that Uighur illustrations were deeply influenced by Chinese culture.
